PAGMATA NA! KINABUHI, KAMATAYON, UG MUSIKA: A Choral Concert

By: Tessandro Tohay

Concerts are one of the times where seminarians could show their talents. On March 21-24, 2019, the San Carlos Seminary College staged a concert entitled “Pagmata Na! Kinabuhi, Kamatayon, ug Musika.” It features songs with themes on social realities and personal-spiritual change, which give the audience opportunity for self-reflection while being entertained. Bohemian Rhapsody, Politika, Ecclesiastes are among the songs in the list that filled the place with laughter and inner reflection about life, death, and music.

Also featured in this production is the Play written by Msgr. Rudy Villanueva entitled “Tango Kriminal,” an adaptation of the Pardoner’s Tale, one of the stories in the Canterbury Tales by Geoffrey Chaucer.

Proceeds of the concert will be used for the renovation of the backstage of the seminary auditorium, which will greatly help more musical productions in the future. Thank you everyone for your support.
